- Roleplay Requirement: If you drive, you are actively roleplaying (with minor exceptions). Breaking traffic laws carries In-Character (IC) legal consequences. Failure to serve your sentence will result in the loss of your roleplay privileges and can lead to a temporary ban.
-
Vehicle Return Policy (24-Hour Rule): All vehicles left unattended for 24 hours will be returned to your inventory.
- If a vehicle must be left out for a specific, ongoing roleplay scenario, you must notify management ahead of time.
- Vehicles owned by residents with an active mailbox are exempt from automatic returns, subject to management’s discretion. In-character, these vehicles will be ticketed and towed.
- Prim Limits: Vehicles must not exceed 50 prims without explicit prior approval from management.
-
DMV Registration: You can fill out forms for License Plates, Driver’s Licenses, and IDs at the Grimlocke DMV.
- Fees: 30Linden for custom plates, payable upon delivery.
- We accept valid licenses and registrations from external communities.
- You are permitted to use a fake ID or license, but you will face strict IC consequences if caught by law enforcement.
- Paying Fines: Fine payments are strictly for roleplay purposes. If you prefer not to roleplay the entire court or police interaction, you may post a quick emote in the local RP group stating how it was handled (e.g., mailed it in, paid online, dropped it off at village hall). Please send a copy of this record or a Discord notification to the Sheriff or Mayors.
- Roadblocks & Checkpoints: If you approach a road that is blocked due to an active roleplay scene, send a polite DM to one of the participants before attempting to drive around it. This prevents breaking their immersion. If the obstruction is a formal checkpoint or construction site, please wait patiently; it will clear shortly.
- Vehicle Security & Theft: Vehicles are considered in-character assets. If left unlocked, they are fully open to theft roleplay. This rule also applies to any properties displaying the “RP OK” sign. If you do not want your vehicle stolen, please check your script settings and ensure it is locked.
